The 28mm Talos have been unlocked, awesome! We're hoping to have an update on these guys from the sculptor tomorrow so hold on tight!
We're now coming up to the last 24 hours of the campaign so get sharing the post to all your would-be opponents to jump on board and grab a Squadron or two!
£16,500 Goal
Next up, we've got another little freebie for the Squadron Commander and The Combat Ace pledges which is also an exclusive model for this Kickstarter. The 28mm EEF Female Pilot! This model will only be available to those who have backed this Kickstarter and also in limited numbers at any future shows we attend. This model will never be on general release! She is £8 if you wish to add her to your pledge (or additional ones to the Squadron Commander or The Combat Ace pledge).
She's currently going through the basic edits at the moment and still requires a great deal of work and alterations but the basic idea is plain to see. Some changes that are currently being done to the basic proportions is reducing her bust to bring her more in-line with the other realistic-styled miniatures we produce rather than a some-what cheesecake-esque pose many others do. We'd also like to mention that on all of the 28mm miniatures, the circular bases you can see on the models are only there for modelling purposes and will be removed on the final resin productions.

The Talos Exo-Suit Squad in 28mm will be unlocked at £15,500.
We were hoping to have these guys finished completely but they are just undergoing final edits and posing! Like their 15mm counterparts they will come in a squad of 4 for £25. These, like the MTU will be a great addition for the painters, collectors or 28mm gamers out there. We just couldn't help but get them produced!
We hope you like them and as soon as they get their poses you guys will be the first to see!

Should we hit 300 backers towards the final hours of the campaign we will unlock the optional purchase of a White Dragon Miniatures Brush Set. The set contains 5 quality Sable brushes adorned with the White Dragon Miniatures logo, made by one of the premium brush producers in the UK.

Future stretchgoals include faction specific Squadron Stickers that can be applied to the bases of your ships as well as their stat-trackers for easy identification, waterslide decals (to make detailing your ships that much easier!), a NEW 28mm Pilot Miniature which will be a Kickstarter and Show exclusive model and also a custom designed MDF box to house the damage deck, tokens and other accessories. Further details to be announced in the next update! Phew!
Towards the later parts of the 20th century, mankind started to recognise the need for new technologies to wean itself from its dependency on oil. Various experiments into alternative energy sources provided little useful innovation or invention, up until the discovery of fusion technology in the mid 21st century. This new energy source was in its infancy, so was unable to be deployed on a mass scale dreamt of on the hope of fulfilling the entire planet’s energy requirements, but did open up new fields of research into physics, engineering and mathematics. However, the new technologies were too little and too late to thwart the now irreversible damage done to the planet, and a global consortium of scientists, law makers, philosophers and politicians held a summit to debate how best to deal with the impending crisis. New protocols were made and agreements drawn up but all came back to the same conclusion – mankind needed to find another world to call home, or risk becoming doomed into extinction. For the first time in all human history, mankind was united in a shared vision for its very own survival.
Across the globe, the world’s great minds combined to share and explore new avenues of scientific endeavour enabled by the new fusion technology. However, time was against those who were trying their best to avert disaster, as power struggles over ever reducing oil and other resources sparked small skirmishes between otherwise friendly nations. As years went on, these became full scale territorial invasions as those involved tried to justify their actions by blaming each other for the conflicts. The world was quickly falling into anarchy as governments in the less developed nations collapsed one after another.

Boom! The £13,000 Stretchgoal has been broken, thank you everybody! The Shattered Void dice have been unlocked and now we move onto the £14,000 stretchgoal. This one is a biggie so here we go!
£14,000 Stretchgoal Ships and Freebies!
A total of 9 new ships will become available upon reaching the goal of £14,000! Three for the EEF which are the Roc Minelayer, Medusa Support Craft and the newly redesigned Wyvern Bomber (Which will be shown off very soon!). The Vitruvians have the new Vampire Siphon Ship, the Ubik Annihilator and the Tarnus Shield Corvette! Finally the Astivar are reinforced with the massive Oracle Swarm Carrier, the Valestrom Devastator and the Nyborn Swarm.
Also, all pledges of Pilot Officer (£35) and above will receive a FREE Earth Exploration Fleet metal pin badge! These badges are quite large at 40mm wide by 28mm tall!
Pilot Officer pledges will also receive one Fighter for free! Flight Lieutenants will receive one Heavy Fighter and finally the Squadron Commander and The Combat Ace pledges will receive one Bomber, all of your choice - Bargain!

As mentioned on the previous Update, ALL pledges of Flight Lieutenant or above will receive a FREE Corvette!

We've begun taking photographs of all of the ships currently in production, but to start with we thought we'd share a top-down view of some of our painted examples to give you all an idea how large the ships are besides eachother.
Plastic Stat-Trackers Complete and in production!
The Stat-Trackers are done and finished. We've received several of the finished items and we are all over the moon with them. The tracking sliders are perfect fits made from a slightly rubber-esque plastic, allowing you to shake the Stat-Tracker violently and the sliders remain in place but at the same time are incredibly smooth to operate.

28mm Marines and Painted Hydra by DWartist!
Our friend David has been hard at work painting up one of our Hydra Corvettes alongside receiving two units of our 28mm Marine Tactical Unit. David has painted many items in the past and his work is always absolutely fantastic!

Evening from WDM HQ!
Right, update time! We've got a few things to go over today as we've had many questions and ideas posed to us over the last few days.
First off, in regards to the upcoming £12,000 unlock of the Corvettes. When we reach the goal this will mean the Corvettes can be produced, the price listed for them on the add-ons banner indicates how much they cost to be added on. By doing so early means we can reach the goal quicker!
Also, after much deliberation we've decided to throw in something rather special for all the pledges of Flight Lieutenant and above.
A FREE CORVETTE!
And that's also right, we did say "above" as this ties in to our second announcement of producing two more Stretchgoals that will offer a massive saving over purchasing items separately. Offering you all even more value for money and on the topic of freebies, we can confirm that we will be adding 5 Shattered Void branded D20's to certain pledges at the next stretchgoal!

Rules update incoming!
That's right! The new update to the rules will be incoming very soon, we're hard at work finalising the last few bits and pieces before releasing it out to you all for reading so bear with us! They will be available within the next 24 - 48 hours. The reason for the delay is the adding of all the new unlocked ships, their rules and the other items.
The Miniatures
We've been asked whether all of our ships are physical models or just renders, we can confirm that out of the 30 planned ships thus far, 22 of them are finished in Resin, ready to be produced. 5 ships currently in the queue for 3D Printing and the final 3 are undergoing last 3D editing preparations to be printed. This means we are in an incredibly stable place to be able to offer quick delivery on the miniatures!
We would once again like to say this shows our commitment to the range rather than basing the Kickstarter on concept art and renders alone.
We will endeavour to get photographs of all the miniatures that have been unlocked very shortly for the next update!
Earth Exploratory Fleet Cortez: Account of Marcellus Grant, Descendant of Earth
The neon tube-lighting flickered in the corridor as power was diverted to slowing down the enormous starship and the surge startled Marcellus as he made his way along the passageway to the port viewing area. He was so used to life aboard ship that he didn't even use any foot wear out in the communal corridors anymore, despite the cold metal; to Marcellus, anywhere and everywhere was home as besides, it was all he knew. Growing up aboard the EEFC Mendoza meant his experiences were limited to whatever he could experience in the cramped confines and endless maze of corridors that made up the massive vessel.
The elders still remembered the home world of 'Earth', and would describe the blue skies, the golden sunrise and even endless water-lands they called ‘oceans’. However, their smiles of distant memory would turn to sadness when they would move onto the Change, as some called it, where the entire planet had lost its colour and richness of life. Ever since Marcellus was a child, he would sit and listen to their stories of how the Earth was, before the planet changed and the wars had started.
Word had quickly spread amongst the dormitories that one of the other fleets had found a habitable planet; a new world to maybe call home once again for the refugee vestiges of humanity. People were excitedly congregating at anywhere they could to see out into space, to catch a glimpse of this 'New Helix' as some had rumoured it was called. More people were coming from their habitation blocks ahead and behind him, each hurrying with faces of smiling anticipation of the wonders and opportunities that awaited them. This new world offered a chance of a new life and new beginnings away from the claustrophobic confines of the ark ships and the ever present peril of travelling through unknown space.
Several years had passed since Private Marcellus Grant had first set his eyes upon the green world of New Helix. After arriving, he and his people had discovered that other EEF’s had already made it their home, and were not the planet’s only occupants. An alien race called the ‘Vitruvians’, after their resemblance to Da Vinci’s ‘Vitruvian Man’, had been here long before humans first stood foot on the world. Tensions had mounted between the indigenous aliens and the human colonists, and after hearing reports of Vitruvian ships turning their guns upon Earth Exploration Fleet Cortez, Marcellus had enthusiastically joined up with the Marine Tactical Units to fight for his new home, and by extension, humanity’s very survival.
What he wasn’t told, was that the humans fired first.
