Shattered Void - The Sci-Fi Dogfighting Tabletop Wargame

Created by White Dragon Miniatures

Huge capital class vessels sit in the background, engaging in tit-for-tat slugging matches as they slowly lumber in the darkness, explosions and debris litter the vast expanse between these metallic behemoths but their battle is none of your concern, your fight is a more personal one... Your skills as a Squadron Leader and the abilities of your wing-men will be put to the test in a ballet of fire and destruction. Will you return speaking of heroic acts or succumb to the cold, silent void? Welcome to Shattered Void, pilot.

Well last update of 2017
over 8 years ago – Sun, Dec 24, 2017 at 07:42:31 PM

Good morning backers, and a Merry Christmas to you all.

Had some time to put a little update together. Been busy on the run to christmas so got some time now as everyone is heading to bed.

Casting has been a little difficult in this cold weather, specially as the building where the unit is kept has no heating, so it's very cold (not good for the resin). All the resin and silicone has had to come home with me to keep it in a stable environment. This has prompted me to build a little heated cupboard at the unit to store all the all the raw materials in. This has a temperature control so that it can keep the temperature at around 18 degrees Celsius. That's pretty much complete no, just need to add the final bit of insulation to the side.

I also had a small disaster with some of the master prints, for some reason the silicone had blinded to the resin master and tore when taking it out of the mould. Im talking to the supplier as to why this happened, as can't let it happen again. It's not the end of the world, but does mean a reprint of some masters, its 5 Astivar ships that were affected.

Now, some numbers for you all.

I'm on my iPad, so should of got how many of each are needed, I'll get them added onto it next time and get a better table created.

But as follows

EEF

Altair Fighter - 104 cast Draconus - 43 cast Jaguar - 52 cast Ursus - 38 cast Roc - 27 cast Hydra - 25 cast Amarok - 15 cast

Vitruvians

Dubuk fighter - 98 cast Hekatte - 73 cast Ubik -26 cast Jalixin- 38 cast Naris - 15 cast Tarnus- 15 cast Karsyn - 12 cast

Astivar

Tulsar fighter - 22 Darselak - 16 Vorak - 19 Jakron - 12

So in the new year, it's just head down and get on with things. I want to have everything ready to ship out by at least the end of February. This would be great as it means that I can start to attend shows throughout the year with Shattered Void for sale on the stand.

A little reflection on 2017 and it's certainly been an interesting year to say the least, looking back, a lot has been happening at White Dragon, from the 3D printer, the unit and heading part time. Huge changes, but all for the best. So heading into 2018, getting the company on good solid tracks for the future and getting Shattered Void out to the backers and beyond.

Well it's now an hour into Christmas Day. Have a wonderful time with your families and loved ones over the Christmas period. Hope 2017 has been good to you all. See you all in 2018!

All the best,

Alan
